Wedding Wednesday: Family Photos

Back again with another wedding layout!

This layout was made using some Dear Lizzy paper, and some Teresa Collins paper, you are my happy collection.

The chipboard word is from Simple Stories. I am not sure which collection it is from. I bought the package on sale at my LSS and I didn't really pay attention to where it was from or anything like that.

Some stickers from Carta Bella and a circle cut from patterned paper.

I chose those word grain tile stickers because of the photos. I thought they went really well together.

That's all for now! I hope this inspires you to get your wedding photos scrapped!

Have a scrappy day!

Process Video: One of the Family

Hi everyone! This post has a process video attached to it! Exciting.
I have taken photos of this layout, now this is not one of my favourite layouts, but I am thinking of using is as a title or introduction page to Chloe in my album.

Here are some photos, well a lot of photos, of my layout.

Enjoy the video and I hope that this helps you to use some of those amazing large titles in the Silhouette Store!

Happy Scrapping.

Omega's House Pocket Page

Alright everyone! Big drum roll!! This is my last pocketed page to post from my travel album!!
If there are more posted later, it is because I went back and made more pages.
How exciting is this though? I finally have them all posted!

This page is a simple one. I just took pictures from around the house we were staying at. Which now that I think about it, I haven't put any pictures of the actual house in my album, oh no, I guess that means there is another post coming!

I used cards from Studio Calico kits and the 5th and frolic core kit.
I did some stamping in pink ink. I can't remember what stamps I used though. Looks like a quote stamp from the CTMH set.
Tile stickers are also CTMH.

Thanks for putting up with all these posts as I got them up!

Have a scrappy day!

You and Me Together + New Hair

Hello everyone!
Here today with a bright layout for summer time!
This layout is simple and features a lot of white space. I have been trying to work outside my normal style lately to see what happens.

I used paper from a My Mind's Eye stack that I have. I'm not sure which one because I tore all the sheets out of it to use them up a while ago.
I made up page bases so that my scrapping would go faster.

The flower paper is from Amy Tangerine. The butterfly is a sticker.

Chipboard is from the Pier collection.  The rest is just bits and pieces that I am trying to get used up. Not sure where they are from. I have a pile of scraps that I am working through.

Thanks for visiting!

Have a scrappy day!

Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Love

Wednesday, July 23, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

Hello everyone!
Here is another wedding layout for my album.

I'm really not sure what products I used as I am in the process of using up old stuff that always gets looked over for new things. However I think these products are fairly new if I recall correctly.

I used quite a few die cuts from my Silhoutte Cameo. They are all in the store if you like them.

This is an embellishment that I made out of die cuts.  I really like how it turned out!

I think that's about it. I am going to try and be better at writing down what products I used. I just like to scrapbook and most of the time I don't pay attention to what I am using if I like it.

Thanks for coming by! Make sure that you are working on your wedding albums!

Have a scrappy day!

HI everyone, here is another process video. I am working on getting the pictures up. My photo camera battery is dead right now. I thought I would at least get the video posting up so that you can all see it.

The silhouette cut number is 61409 it's by Lori Whitlock.

I will post the pictures as soon as I take them!

Wedding Wednesday: Favourite Photo

Hello! I am back with another wedding layout today!
This one has a very different colour scheme than the other layouts that I have made. I am trying to mix it up in my album without having it be too different.
As my wedding was in the fall, there was a lot of yellow in our pictures, so I am trying to bring more yellow into the album.  At least on pictures that don't have the leaves in them.

I used My Mind's Eye paper for this layout. This all came from a Scrapbook Steals order I placed.

I really love how this photo cluster turned out.

Thanks for coming by and reading. Leave comments below and I will try to answer them!

Cover to Cover class

Hello everyone.
If you are anything like me you will love to scrapbook but never organize your pages into albums.  I have so many pages that are in boxes or stacks just sitting around.
I attribute this to two issues.  The first being that I don't want to take the time to organize all those layouts and I don't know how to go about organizing those layouts.
The next is that I never want to buy albums. I am stuck in this mind frame where I don't think buying albums is fun. I would much rather purchase scrapbooking supplies.

This is where Shimelle's class comes in. She goes through various tip and tricks to organize those albums that we all have laying around!
There are tips about creating flow in one album, how to go about organizing your layouts and how to break up those stories that you want to tell but don't know where to put in with the already made layouts.

This is a great class. Especially for people like me who are adverse to organizing those albums and layouts!
You can find the link to sign up on her website

I hope that you will give this some thought and sign up for this amazing class!

Process Video: Spider Dog

I have another process video here, I am getting good at making these more often now. I even have a "stash" of videos so that I can always have some to post.

Here are some photos of the layout.

Best Friends

Hello everyone!
This post has a lot of pictures in it. I am trying to take more pictures and from different angles to show any dimension or texture that is on the layout. I don't know how this will show through on the photos themselves but that is my reasoning behind all the photos.

This is a picture that my mom sent me of my niece and my mom's dog Rocket. Rocket has been on my blog lots before! I'm not sure if Casandra has though.
I just loved this picture of the two of them. Casandra really loves dogs and Rocket just lets her climb all over him and sleep on his bed. They are so cute together!

The paper is from 5th and Frolic, it's from a paper pad that I bought a long time ago. I recently got it out along with a bunch of others to attempt to use them up.  Therefore this pad will be featured in a few posts in the next little bit!

The letter stickers are from 12x12 element sticker sheets. I'm sorry I don't know what they are. I recently went to my LSS and bought a bunch of them that were on sale for 50% off. I am not sure what stickers are from each of the sheets.

I used some frames from a the paper pad (or another Dear Lizzy pad) that I had cut out and layered around the photo. I have been trying to keep my scrapbooking simple and fast lately as I don't have a lot of time to focus on scrapping.

The blue tab on the side of the layers is from one of those sticker sheets. I think a lot of these embellishments are stickers.
What I have been doing is working with limited supplies so that I can use up my paper stash better! I have also been scrapping intermittently with my school work to take breaks. That is also why I have a limited supply stash. I keep it next to my school desk on the floor so I can scrap when I get stuck on problems!

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to comment and ask questions!
Have a scrappy day!

Wedding Wednesday: Love & Kisses

Wednesday, July 09, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

Here is the next wedding wednesday layout I have.
It features some watercolour on a deay lizzy background paper. This paper did warp a lot so I mounted it on a blue paper as well.

Then to bring more of that blue in, I used a bit from the paper to mat the photo with.
I tried to use paint colours that mimicked the leaves as well as some pink to match the paper.

I used a gold doily that I cut out from a Crate paper sheet.

The letters are Basic Grey ones. I used some wood veneer hearts.

At the School Pocket Page

Monday, July 07, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

Hello again everyone!
I am back with another project life style page. I am very close to having them all posted on my blog! I should celebrate when that day comes!

Anyway, today's page is of activities I participated in while at the girls' school in Zambia.  I tried to keep this page simple as there were a lot of pictures I wanted on it.

I did some stamping, as well as a lot of journalling on that one card. I used cards from the honey core kit.

I really like to use labels on my photos.  Especially if I don't mention that specific photo in the journalling bit.  I also tend to put them on photos to point it out as an important place that I was.
On this page there is a label identifying the girls' school.

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Swim

Friday, July 04, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

Hello everyone!
I promised that  I would have more non-pocketed pages coming and I kept that promise!
This is a layout of my dog swimming with his best friend, Rocket, who is my parents' dog.  The two of them get along so well together. We just love taking him there to see his big friend.

I used a lot of bright colours for this layout because it was taken last summer.
I used the simple stories i heart summer collection for almost everything on this page.  There are a few added things that weren't from that collection.
Like the baker's twine and the letter thickers.  I think that the camera is from a different simple stories collection.

Thanks for coming by!

Wedding Wednesday: St Andrew's Wedding

Wednesday, July 02, 2014 0 Comments A+ a-

Hello everyone!
I am going to begin something new that I have seen on YouTube. I am starting a series on my blog called "Wedding Wednesday".
I am trying to get my wedding photos into my album.  So this is going to be how I tackle it.

This is a very simple layout that I made in about 30-40 minutes.
It's a picture of my husband and I taken outside the church we were married in.

I used Dear Lizzy paper for both the background and the frame.  As well as the blue flower paper.   The heart paper and cameras came from an Amy Tangerine paper pack that  I bought at Michaels.

The church is called St Andrew's United, so that is where the title comes from.
The little tags were cut out with my Silhouette. The cut files can be found in the Silhouette store.  I thought they mirrored how we were framed in the door of the church.

At this point in our wedding, our friend was ringing the church bell, which is something that I had always wanted on my wedding day, but didn't give it much thought.
As it turns out the church has a bell and we were able to have it rung after we were married. It is a mice memory for me.  People were driving past and honking for us too!
