Album for Collection: Dolls: Shoes

Hello again!

I created this page with shoes in mind. The woman I am making this for loves to buy shoes for her dolls. I thought that creating a page all about those shoes was a good idea.

I used a piece of plain purple card stock for the base and glued a patterned paper on top of some kraft paper for the focal point. I rounded the corners of the pink paper with my Martha Stewart corner rounder punch (I love).  Then I cut some photo blocks out of another patterned paper from that all about girls stack. The big one is 4.5x6.5  and the smaller ones are 4x4.

I cut the shoes out from the Forever Young cartridge at 2 inches and the title at 2 1/4 inches along with the shadow feature.

Album for Collection: Dolls: The Twins

Hello everyone!
Today I am going to share the first of my double layouts. This one is for a set of twin dolls that she owns. These ones are called Jani.

For the title I cut it out from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. I believe the letters are cut around 2 inches.  I don't remember and I didn't create this layout on my gypsy. I used the shadow feature as well.

The ice cream cone was cut out using Doodlecharms and it was cut at 2 3/4. I then took the layers and ran them through my cuttlebug using swiss dots and d'vine swirls.

The names were cut out using the child's year font, at about 2 inches as well. I then went around them with a white gel pen making little dots on them to give it a bit extra texture.

All the pattern paper is from a recollections paper pad, all about girls. I mounted the background piece of white card stock. The pattern is cut 1/4 of an inch smaller than 12x12.  Then I used two pieces of 8 1/2x11 black card stock and cut the teal paper about 1/2 an inch smaller than it.  The purple matts are 4.5x6.5 and the bottom one is 3x6.

I glued on some buttons for a border between the two photo mats. The little journal block is from that same paper pad as well.

Hope you enjoyed this double layout!

Album for Collection: Dolls: Title Page

Hi everyone!
I am currently making a friend (MIL) an album to showcase her collection of rather valuable dolls. These dolls are German made and very expensive! They are called Himstedts, if you are interested in knowing more about them.

I am making her an album and thought that I would share with you all too! I am sure that she doesn't read my blog so I am able to share this process with you. I am hoping that you can maybe give me some more ideas and some feedback on what I already have.

I must say that a lot of my page inspirations have come from creative cricut designs I also subscribe to her videos as well. If you have youtube and enjoy watching scrapbooking videos, Jennifer creates beautiful pages using her Cricut Expression and Imagine! I highly recommend her videos for inspiration.

With this album, as they are dolls and they get dressed up, I am using a lot of the images from Forever Young. I find that the little icons like the lipstick and shoes go great with what I am trying to create. I also have used DoodleCharms, A Child's Year and Create a Critter as well as the font from Plantin Schoolbook.  I am trying to utilize all my cartridges to really get my value out of them! I do wish that I had paper doll dress up, I think it would really come in handy right now.

For the title page I used a paper from DCWV once upon a time stack. It is the once upon a time paper too. I thought that it would add a little bit of a fairy tale quality to the album without being too much.

I cut the monogram from A Child's Year at 3 3/4 and the letters at 3 1/4.
From forever young, I cut the girl at 7 3/4, the lipstick at 1 3/4 and the nail polish at 1 1/2.

For added touches I went around the monogram with a purple marker and the letters with a white gel pen to set them apart from the model's legs.

Hope that this inspires you to create something that is a little different for an album!

Hello everyone!
I have been busy creating using the Winter Frolic cartridge. I have fallen behind on my challenges that I usually participate in. Perhaps this week I can find some time to work on them!
Today I have this great layout that I made. All the details are in the video. If you have any questions just feel free to ask!
