Hello everyone!
I should have posted this one first, but that's ok!
This is a quick little card that I made with some scraps left over from scrapbooking and other cards that I have made. It is for this challenge here: Use your scraps

The little butterfly is just something that I found at the dollar store, it's a little metal charm.
The flower is cut from Forever Young cricut cartridge.

Hope you enjoyed and happy crafting!

Hello again!
Today I am posting this card for Whimsical Wednesday fun with folds challenge. I have always wanted to try making an easel card so this gave me the perfect opportunity.

I cute the reindeer from the doodlecharms cartridge. I used some Christmas paper that I had in my stash and I don't remember who makes it.

Happy Crafting!

Easter Bunny Card

Hi everyone!
This is a card that I made for the Cricut Cards Challenge. You just have to make a card of your choice for a holiday of your choice using whatever colours and cartridges you want.
I chose Easter because I love the colours for that time of year!
I cut the bunny from the Create a Critter cartridge (page 26). He is small, probably around 2 inches or so. The basket is also from that cartridge and it is his accessory.

The little chicks are from a punch that I have, same with the broken egg.

The frame comes from the Child's Year cartridge, (page 48) and it was something that i had left over from another project so I don't know what size it is. It is cut in a dark purple.

The cloud patterned paper is from a K and Company stack. It was just cut to fit inside the frame.
Then I added glitter and some bling using my I-Rock (more on that later)!

The card base is pink cardstock cut at 4 1/4 by 5 1/2.

Hope you all go over and check out the challenge and all the wonderful cards the design team has made over there!

Happy creating!

CHange of Address card: Part Two

Saturday, July 16, 2011 0 Comments A+ a-

Hello!
After getting annoyed with the little houses I switched to making these cards. They are just a plain white card base in 5x7 and then I cut a piece of patterned paper at 4.5x6.5 for the background.
Then I decorated them as I wanted. I did use the same stamp on all of them and the same mailbox cut out from the Doodlecharms cartridge.
Other than that they are all different! That is what makes them so special!

Merci Birdie Card

This is a fairly simple card and super cute! I made it using the create a critter and a child's year cartridges. The background frame is from a child's year. The bird and merci is from create a critter.
This card is made from a regular sized A2 cardstock.
The frame was cut at 4 inches I believe.
The bird was cut at 3 inches.
The word was fit to length cut at 4 1/4 inches.
All I did was put together the layers and adhere everything down. I did use some pop dots on the bird to make her stand up more. There is some glitter glue on the bird and the heart on merci.
Very easy to make and super fun and so cute!

Happy crafting all!

Change of Address Card

Hello!
I am going to write a quick post about a change of address card I made using the Cricut Just Because Cards.
It is such a cute card! However the house part doesn't cut out very well at the smaller size. If you are going to make this card you should make it bigger than 5 inches.
I made 6 of them and then stopped and changed to a different way of making them and a different size. I had some blank 5x7 cards on hand so that is what I used.

Thank You Deer Card

I made this really simple little card. It's very easy to put together.
Pink 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock cut in half at 5 1/2 then folded
Two strips of patterned paper cut at 1 x 4 1/4
3 buttons
A deer cut at 2 1.5 inches as well as the flowers. From the create a critter cartridge.
I added some doodle work and that is it!

Things I always Use!

Tuesday, July 05, 2011 0 Comments A+ a-

Hi everyone!
I have had a busy few days making things to send out and getting the new site up and ready!
I just thought I would write a quick post about what things I seem to be using all the time on my projects now.
The first is my Cricut! I don't know how I ever made anything before I had it! Haha!!

The next is my paper trimmer. I am currently using the making memories magnetic one and I love it so much. It's really great because it folds so it's a full 12x12 cutter but it folds to make storage easier. It also has a magnetic ruler that is great for holding the paper still. Also a good factor is that sharpens the blade as you use it so no more replacement blades!

I have several adhesives that I use on a regular basis. I have scotch quick dry and the ATG. Then I have tombow white glue and a glue runner for bigger pieces. Of course I have my two way zig glue pen too!

The ink that I use is Momento in tuxedo black. It's a great ink I haven't had any problems with it.

I have some little things that I use a lot. My white gel pens, black gel pen, spatula, my glitters! I love my glitters!

I think that's all the things that I use all the time.
