There are no Words

Hi everyone, this is not a typical post for me. I'm sorry I haven't been posting as often, I have been quite sick with a terrible cough.

As I am sure you all know, there was a horrible tragedy this week in Connecticut. I won't go into detail as it has been analyzed by news agencies so much since happening.

I just wanted to post something to say that I am thinking about all those little lives that were lost and the heroes who gave up their own life to save children.

There is a Facebook group dedicated to making cards for the survivors and the emergency responders. It is called "cards for Sandy Hook".

Please take the time to make a card and send it on as they could all use some hope, joy and love in their lives right now.

Studio Calico: Kit Layout: Tourist?

Monday, December 03, 2012 2 Comments A+ a-

Hello everyone! I have another layout using my November Studio Calico kit. I think it was called Sock Hop.

For this layout, I really wanted to keep the reverse side of that grid paper, so I cut out a square from where I was going to cover it up anyway. That way I get more use out of my kit too! The only things that aren't from the kit are the wood camera, they are studio calico though, the glitter paper (american crafts POW glitter paper) and the alphas (studio calico). Oh! I also used some washi tape from my stash too.

I inked the edges of everything using Hero Arts raspberry jam and cup o joe shadow inks.

I hope you enjoyed this layout!

Studio Calico: Kit Layout: Dessert for Lunch

Hi everyone! I'm so excited because on Friday, I got my Studio Calico kit! It's my first one so of course I got it right out and started playing with it.

I made this layout pretty quickly. Everything on it came from the kit. I used some Mr Huey's spray for the ink dots. The inks I used to stamp is Slate from close to my heart.

I used some Glossy Accents on the heart die cut. Which I love!

Hope you all are having a great day!

Alfie's Car Seat

This layout is of my puppy in his car seat. We bought this for him so that he could sit up in the car and see out the window.

I used paper from American Crafts Dear Lizzy and Sketchbook. There is lots of layering on this page. I used thickers and basic grey chipboard alphas. I also put some paint splatters on the page to give some added interest.

Enjoy!
