Process Video 36

Hi everyone!

I have another process video to share today. This is of a layout that I made for my London albums. It is of the Chapel at the Tower of London.

For more information of the Chapel, if you are interested, here is the link that I used for my journaling on the page. If you are a history buff like me then you may like to read more about the Chapel's history.

Here is the video for today's posting.

I hope that you all enjoy it and come back soon! I have some more process videos coming on my channel in the next few days so come back and check then!

I am also going to be doing a layout share and a new room tour soon!

Sweet Giants

Hello again! I am back with (another) elephant layout! I know know, I keep making them, I can't help it I loved the elephants so much and took hundreds of pictures of them!

I used papers from the Studio Calico May kit. The letter stickers are Pebbles (given to me by the wonderful Kristina Werner)!

The wood veneer heart was coloured with ink to match the layout. It's Lagoon from Close to my Heart.

The geotag, tag, is a silhouette cut from the store cut out in kraft cardstock from stampin up.

Thanks for coming by!

Elephant Family

Hello everyone! I am back with another elephant layout to share with all of you. I promise that there will be some different projects up in a few days, so just bare with the Africa/travel layouts a little longer!

I love how this layout turned out! I used lots of layers and it just came together so well!

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me, I will try my best at answering them!

Best of Friends

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all having a fantastic summer!
Today I have a layout using a lot of product from the May studio calico kit. I loved this kit so much that I was saving the papers to use on something special. The cloud paper is from the June kt.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Art Journalling: travel tips

Hi everyone!

Christmas was a lot of fun for my family and me this year! We had a really good time and lot of laughter.

I am going to start a new "series" or project on my blog. It's going to be all about art journalling. I really want to start journalling about my everyday life and keep track of what our lives are like right now, but I don't really know where to start or anything else.

I just wanted to start with a post about travel journalling. I am by no means an expert, in fact I usually have a hard time keeping a journal while I am travelling despite my best efforts.

I was thinking about ways to make a journal because my husband and I are talking about taking a trip. I thought I would make a practice journal. I say practice because I am not sure what book I want to use or how I want to put it together. So while we are just going around Ottawa doing things in town I thought I would practice putting a journal together.

Some tips that I have found really interesting and possibly useful are:

-sort everything that you want/need in little bags
-bring bags/ziplocs for keeping treasures in from your trip, this is especially useful if you aren't going to put things in the journal right away, then you can keep track of what day they are from
-postcards: these can be used for both journalling and photos of places that you went
-gift card envelopes: can be used to put journalling in, hold items or even hold gift cards in there
-hotel keys, lets you keep track of where you stayed
-hotel key envelopes, can store things in and use as a little pocket

That's all I have for now. I am going to experiment with different books and see what I like the best. I will keep updating this series until I find what I like and what works for me. Hopefully this will be useful to someone else too!
