Monkeys at Victoria Falls
Hello everyone! Today's layout features monkeys from Victoria Falls (Zambia)!
I used products from Studio Calico kits, I'm sorry I don't know which ones, all my newer kits have been mixed together.
The letter stickers are from the June kit though!
That green polka dot paper is actually from the Basic Grey Aspen Frost collection. The travel sticker is from the Simple Stories travel collection which came in the June kit.
I used my Amy Tan roller date stamp and some Basic Grey letters to make the sub-title and date.
Botswana Elephant
Hi everyone! Today I have a 12x12 layout to share with you. I took this picture while on safari in Botswana. I took so many elephant pictures, so this is just the first layout with an elephant in it.
I used paper from the Studio Calico kit, I'm sorry I don't know which one because my kits have all gotten mixed together recently. The letters are from Basic Grey also from a past kit. The large ombre washi tape is also from a past kit as is the camera tape.
The camera stamps are Close to my Heart and Amy Tangerine (from a kit). The chevron stamp is also from a Close to my Heart set.
Thanks for stopping by!
June Sketch Challenge SEM: So happy for you card
Hello everyone. I made this card for the challenge following the card sketch. I made it for my friend who recently got engaged, but I think I might make a different card for her.
Part of the challenge was to use a handmade flower on the card. I made a "flower" out of hearts that I had lying around after I made a doily.
I stamped the background with several hearts from a Close to my heart set. It is the set that came with the For Always card making workshop.
Hope you enjoy this card and go over to participate in the challenge too!
Love Never Fails: Challenge for SEM
Hello everyone!
I am back again today with another challenge entry. I really enjoy doing challenges because it gives me something different to work on.
This layout is pretty simple as part of the challenge is that you can't use patterned paper. I did use patterned washi tape though, but it's not paper!
My background is white daisy cardstock from Close to my Heart. I cut the mask from the Silhouette store, it's called heart doily I think. I used the purple color shine ink from Heidi Swapp for the masking and some pink inks for the droplets.
The title is also cut using my Silhouette. I inked it with hero art shadow ink in raspberry jam. I tried to give it an ombre ink look, not sure if that came out the way I wanted but I really love the colour anyway. The title is from the challenge, you didn't have to use that as a title, but I really like it for this picture of my husband and I. It also makes for a good wedding photo title too I think.
The hearts are the positive bits from that mask I cut out. The alphas are from Sn@p. I used some viva decor white pearl pen to add in some of that pearl white colour to match with the shine in the spray.
That little label sticker is from the Sn@p collection. It's on the pink sheet, but there isn't actually any pink on the label itself. It's just a grid with faux stitching on it. It just happened to be the right size for what I wanted.
I really enjoyed doing this challenge! I might even make another layout using only cardstock! Maybe something with the doily that I cut out!
Thanks for coming by. If you have any questions just leave them in the comment below or go to my contact page!
Project Life: travel version: StuckOnUSketches Challenge
Hello again! When I got home from my trip, I was overwhelmed with how many pictures that I had taken and was wondering how I was going to scrap them all! I decided on doing a mini-project life style album, travel edition.
This first page is about our day at the Victoria Falls bridge in Livingstone, Zambia/Zimbabwe.
I used a lot of Sn@p collection for this page. I added twine from Close to my Heart to the title card and some washi from a Studio Calico kit. But the rest is from the collection I believe.
The requirements for the challenge were to use twine on a project life spread. Go over and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by!
Jar Card for Cardz TV
Hello again! Today I have a card to share with you. This challenge can be found over on the Cardz TV blog if you want to play along as well. I thought that this would make a good card for giving a jar of jam with or maybe as a thinking of you type card. Or just a card to give a friend!
I used Stampin Up kraft cardstock for the base of the card. The jar came from the Silhouette store, it comes with hearts in it as well. I didn't want to use them for this project though. The blue twine is from Close to my Heart and is part of the Paradise assortment.
The stamps are from a Close to my Heart set. It's called Bugs and Hugs. It's a super cute set and can be used for so many cute projects. The ink I used was Hero Arts cup o joe and raspberry jam.
Giveaway Winnings From Kristina Werner
Hi everyone! Before I left for Africa, I entered a giveaway done by Kristina Werner. To my great surprise, while I was in Africa, I got an e-mail saying that I had won! Below are all the goodies that she managed to put in a box to send to me.
I had told her that I would take pictures of everything that was in the box so she could see which winner got which products.
I am having a great time creating with all those goodies! Thank you so much Kristina!
