2012 Review: March
Hi everyone! Here is another review page for March this time. My close up photo of the left page wouldn't upload so you will have to look at it on the double page photo.
This month we went to see Hunger Games and Caramelle had her spaying surgery.
Enjoy!
2012 Review: February
Here is another review layout for you. Most of the review pages are going to be 12x24 double layouts because there were a lot of pictures for them
This month was clearly Valentine's Day. We decorated a little bit and watched a movie.
Stay tuned for some of the busier months.
2012: Review January
Hi everyone! So this year on New Year's Eve, I decided to start a year in review album. I don't do project life so I thought that this would be a good alternative. I know this is probably not a new idea by any means, but it is something that I am trying for the first time. This year was really important for us because we graduated University, got married, got a puppy, moved to a new house and started new jobs.
So in January we didn't do a whole lot. Winston (cat) turned 3 so we had a little party for him. They just get some wet food and a small present for their birthdays.
Caramelle (cat) crawled into a pepsi box which we thought was really funny.
That's all that happened this month.
Rings and Ribbons
Hello crafters!
Today I have a simple layout to share with you all.
This is a picture of my flowers and our rings from the wedding.
The ribbon is actually ribbon that we used for decor at our wedding.
I ran out of s's for this layout so that is why the title reads differently.
Hope that you enjoy!
Monthly Goals: February and March
Hi everyone, I am going to start something new. I'm going to post some goals that I have for the month to try and get a lot of use out of products that I have that I haven't used. Since it is already part way through February I decided to put the two months together. So for these two months I have a few things that I am going to focus on.
SHOPPING FREEZE. I am going to make an effort to use what I have and not buy anything new (apart from my kit subscription) so that I can use up all my older stuff and make room for new stuff once I start buying again. I find that this is a common goal for a lot of scrapbookers because we often buy too much and then don't use it up.
SCRAPS!!! I have soooo many scraps kicking around it's not even funny anymore. My problem is that I get lots of new product from Close to my Heart and Studio Calico and then I forget about all my scraps. So I am going to really focus on getting layouts and cards made with the scraps that I have. I will post pictures of what projects I get done with only scraps and incorporating scraps. I will make sure to label them so that it will be easy to find.
STAMPS. I have a lot of stamps that I don't make use of. I am going to try and use them more on layouts. Again I will post all the projects that I make using them.
These are my goals for the month. Since I don't like posting without a picture, here is a cute one for you.
Happy crafting!
11 photo layout
Hello everyone!
I have a different layout to share with you today. It's a layout with 11 photos on it! I got the idea from the 4x6 photo love series over at Two Peas in a Bucket.
I used Smokey Plum cardstock from Close to my Heart for the background page. The pattern paper came from Mambi Sheets, from the bridal paper stack.
The rest of the papers are from the Today, Tomorrow, Forever paper stack.
I hope that you all enjoyed this and can give it a try on your own! It's a really cool layout and idea for putting a lot of portrait photos on the layout.
Owl Valentine's Card
Hello everyone! I have a cute little card to share today. I used the Whoo's Your Valentine Kit from Close to my Heart. Unfortunately this was only a temporary item and it is no longer available. It is too bad because it's honestly the cutest stamp set.
I made the background pattern paper using some stamps in the set. I really like how it turned out. The strip of paper is from Carta Bella's Paris Girl collection. The tag was cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge. The gems are Close to my Heart sparkles.
I will put in the hyperlinks to the products used!
Thanks for stopping by!
Alfie Face
Hello crafters! Today I have a layout to share with you. This may have been posted already I am not sure. I know that I used a sketch for this layout, but I made it so long ago I forget what I used!
I do know that the papers are from a studio calico kit, the Sock Hop one. I don't know who makes the papers or anything like that.
The date was stamped with a CTMH stamp of the month set. Which is no longer available as it was the stamp of the month for November. It is a great stamp set and I will let you know if another like it becomes available!
Thanks for stopping by!
CTMH: Have a Happy Birthday
Hello friends!
Today I have a great birthday card to share with you. I used mostly CTMH products for this card, I will try to link to all of them in my post in case anyone is interested in the products.
The flowers and sentiment are from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set. This stamp set is amazing, you can literally do everything with it. If you are new to stamping and card making I highly recommend this set because it is so versatile.
I coloured the flowers in with the blending pen and various inks, I think I used smoothie, sunset and pear, as well as a couple pro markers. You could also use the CTMH markers or water-colour pencils, which I will have a card up soon with that technique as well.
The paper is Bo Bunny and CTMH La Belle Vie which is no longer available.
I hope you liked this card. I really love this card and am going to hang on to it for a while before giving it away to someone.
Thanks for coming by!
CTMH: Avonlea Birthday Card
Hello crafting friends! Today I have another card to share with all of you. This card I made with the Avonlea and Flirty paper packs from CTMH.
The stamp set that I used the the Just a Number. I really really love that stamp set, it has such cute sentiments in it for birthdays!
The border punch is from Martha Stewart. Thanks for stopping by and seeing my card! Have a great day.
CTMH: Birthday Wishes
Hello crafting friends!
Today I have a card that I made using a CTMH pattern from the Make it from the heart volume 1 book. The design is on page 44. If you are interested in the book (it really is a good book) you can visit my website here.
The only CTMH products that I used were the stamps, and the brown paper. The pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye, Carta Bella and Bo Bunny. The stamp is from the Just a Number set. The little stamps were the petite perks from last catalogue. They are different this catalogue. The ink colours I used were chocolate, smokey plum and crystal blue all CTMH.
Thanks for stopping by!
Our Wedding
Hello crafters! Today I am sharing another wedding layout, I know I have been sharing a lot of those lately.
I used a couple different papers to make this layout. A recollections paper pack, today, tomorrow, forever and a mambi paper pack that is designed for weddings.
The bottom pattern is an acetate pattern. That is why the photo is not taken from above and is on an angle. The tag is from the recollections paper pad.
I also used some wash on this layout as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
